Ross McColm - Senior Consultant
Ross is an investigator, a negotiator, a mediator, an advocate and a trainer. He has a Graduate Diploma of Business (Industrial Relations) through QUT and is also a QUT trained mediator.
With over 40 years experience in the Queensland industrial relations and training systems through his past employment in the Qld Government, a major union and an industry training organisation, Ross has extensive experience in investigating disciplinary, training and wages matters, making fair decisions, negotiating mutual outcomes through conciliation and mediation and advocating cases in the industrial tribunals.
His knowledge and experience in the industrial relations and training legislation and systems in Queensland is without peer. In 2000, Ross was a co-author of the first Order of the QIRC for competency based wage arrangements for apprentices and trainees and was the Project Manager for the review of that Order in 2003. He has been a highly successful advocate for the Qld Government in Appeals to the QIRC in relation to disciplinary matters regarding apprentices and trainees.
